Maintaining its practices in the fields of fashion, architecture, industrial design, communication design, engineering design and movie design of İzmir under the administration of creative figures, İzmir Design Days spreaded over the month of May along with the activities of movie screenings, interviews, PechaKucha Night İzmir, exhibitions and design forum.
The habitants of İzmir found the opportunity to watch “La Reine Bicyclette” and short movies from the Filmed by Bike Oregon Film Festival. Francesco Cingolani with the support of French Cultural Center of İzmir, Jenny Norderg with the contributions of the Embassy of Sweden and Play Without Borders presented their works as guests of İzmir.
Also an exhibition has been launched comprising of the reprints of the posters of İhap Hulusi who produced the most significant works of the Early Republic Period. Simultaneously, the opening of the FUTUROTEXTILES MIX exhibition has been taken place through the initiatives of French Cultural Center of İzmir.
Discussions pertaining to Local Opportunities have been carried out at the İzmir Center of Architecture by the participations of partners from different design fields of İzmir, under the moderatorship of Nazlı Terzioğlu (fashion), Can Güvenir (industrial design), Noyan Vural (architecture), Kerem Odabaşı (engineering design), Sevcan Sönmez (movie design) and Ömer Durmaz (communication design).
The event has been organized by NOBON and Randevu through the supports of İzmir Center of Architecture, Originn Co-Working, Embassy of Sweden, French Cultural Center of İzmir, İzmir History and Design Studio.
