The Mine Art Gallery, that has started its art life at Kadıköy in 1985, with the idea of bringing a different interpretation to the available perspectives with respect to both artistic and exhibition practices, shares its accumulation of thirty years with the art-lovers by a three-volume book. In the book, published to celebrate the thirtieth year of the Mine Art Galley that is an important stop on the road map of Turkish art history, a summary of the events realized at the gallery over a period of thirty years may be found. The books covers only a small part of the archive that has emerged by scanning, collecting and compiling many different sources such as exhibitions, panels, exhibition readings, exhibition catalog texts and images, exhibition bulletins and the articles, photographs, videos in the press related with the gallery.
A meticulous study has been conducted during the preparation of the book, where all visual and written literature that the gallery has collected since 1985 have been scanned, videos have been reviewed and the visual works have been transferred to the virtual media. A series of interviews have been also been held with more than 20 artists, collectioners and art writers whose roads have crossed with the Mine Art gallery at some point in time.
