Sinan the Architect, who is one of the most important architecture geniuses and – in the common expression used in our day – one of the first “star architects” of all times, is commemorated in a comprehensive and multi-technological exhibition that sheds a light on the architecture of both his times and the present day.
Sinan the Architect, who is the most important symbol in our architecture history, who has offered his unmatched masterpieces realized in classical Ottoman architecture by his creative genius, not only to our culture but also to the world architecture heritage, is commemorated by the “Sinan and the Masterpieces of an Architectural Genius” on the 427th anniversary of his death. Organized through the collaboration of the MSGSÜ Sinan the Architect Research and Application Center, the MSGSÜ Interior Architecture Department and Allevents, the “Sinan and the Masterpieces of an Architectural Genius” exhibition may be viewed until May 31, at the MSGSÜ Tophane-i Amire Culture and Art Center.
At the exhibition organized in order to ensure that the life and the works of Sinan the Architect, who has appended his signature on the golden age of the Ottoman architecture during the 16th century when he has lived and whose works are characterized as “masterpieces of the creative genius of mankind” within the scope of the UNESCO World Heritage, are understood better and to increase their recognition throughout the world, all works of the master architect are revived by applications, stereoscopic systems, enhanced reality, video mapping and 3D animations technologies that hold user interaction at the forefront, as well as classical techniques such as drawings and mockups.
