ECNP Gallery continues its design focused exhibitions by the “Porcelain Landscapes” of Yasha Butler, Tulya Madra, Sahir Erdinç, Müzz and Ömür Tokgöz.
The porcelain objects have been produced by artists and designers, setting off with the “landscape” concept and using their own special techniques and languages. These objects, which are able to exist by themselves, constitute a “landscape” when they are brought together.
Composed of the containers named “Lithic” by Yasha Butler reflecting the delicate balance of contrasts; the “Islands” where Tulya Madra and Sahir Erdinç have collectively interpreted the Aegean islands as dinnerware; the “Accumulations” where the round forms of Ömür Tokgöz resemble a cocoon by their instable stance on the round base, and the vases named “I did not See, Hear, Say” created by Erin Türkoğlu and Melodi Bozkurt (Müzz) in order to remind us that we merely are a tiny and fragile piece of the planet where we live and to emphasize the melting of the polar ice, the Porcelain Landscapes may be viewed at the ECNP Gallery until May 30, Saturday.
