The “Buluşma…Reunion” exhibition, putting together the works, ranging from painting to photography, from documentary to installation, by 20 artists whose roads have crossed with the Sabancı University Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Program, has been opened at the S.U. Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM).
The “Buluşma…Reunion” exhibition brings together the works by 20 artists whose roads have crossed with the Sabancı University Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Program, during the 15 years that have passed from the first course, and have made their names heard as professional artists in various international biennials, fairs and exhibitions. The 20 graduate artists, who are working in many different areas but have a common determination such as existence in the world of professional art by producing, standing out by their visions in the world of art where the ability to maintain consistency and continuity is quite difficult, and get together fır the first time in this exhibition.
While the texts of the catalog, prepared for the selection prepared by the in-depth examination of the works of 110 individuals who have graduated from the Sabancı University Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Program during 1999-2015, have been written by the Sabancı University students and academic staff members, the photographs of the exhibition were taken by the Sabancı University academic member Murat Germen.
Within the scope of the “Buluşma…Reunion” exhibition, the works by the Sabancı University Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Program graduates Aslı Narin, Baptiste Croze, Berke Soyuer, Beyza Boyacıoğlu, Burcu Yağcıoğlu, Cemre Yeşil, Deniz Gül, Deniz Üster, Ege Kanar, Egemen Demirci, Elif Süsler, Erdem Taşdelen, Hasan Salih Ay, Hayal Pozantı, İz Öztat, Julia Kul, Onur Ceritoğlu, Tan Mavitan and Meric Algün Ringborg, who has been invited to the 56th Venice Biennial this year, meet with the art-lovers.
At the “Buluşma…Reunion” exhibition at the S.U. Sakıp Sabancı Museum, which can be visited until July 26, entrance is free of charge for all students.
Various panels will also be organized in parallel with the exhibition, as participated by the academic members and graduates who have participated by their writings in the artists and exhibition catalog, and producing in the art theory area of Sabancı University.
