Hale Güngör Oppenheimer appears before the viewers by her second personal exhibition “Cloudy Room” at the Pg Art Gallery during May 7 – 31.
Oppenheimer focuses on closets, shelves, drawers and similar furniture items in the Cloudy Room and goes into the details of a lost home that she has been handling for a while. In her new works that may be seen at the exhibition, the artists frequently consults to the use of domestic objects, where they come from or where they belong to is not clear, when handling the vagueness of the ideas about home. While these objects usually continue their presence as independent from their surroundings, they also give clues on the concepts of their stationary state and personal property.
At the Cloudy Room, presented as divided into two by a material and conceptual screen of smoke, there are acrylic studies on canvas as well as an installation where mixed technical studies on paper are carried over to the third dimension by Oppenheimer.
