SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL STONE, MARBLE AND CERAMIC SHOW IS HELD AT THE SINGAPORE CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE BETWEEN DECEMBER 8-10, 2015.
Singapore, which has turned into a trade and attraction center of the far east along with its 57,000 USD worth of GDP rate per capita, is also a showcase for the countries in the region. The fair held in the country attracts visitors from many countries of the region such as Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines.
The first edition of the fair this year hosted 17 companies as part of the URGE (Developping international competition) studies, organized by the Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Association (IMIB). Apart from URGE, 17 Turkish individual firms also attended the fair.
Welcoming visitors from 22 different countries, the opening ceremony of the fair have been performed by Hakkın Taner Seben, the ambassador of the Republic Of Turkey in Singapore, Hürol Karlı, our Commercial Counsellor in Singapore and Ali Kahyaoğlu, IMIB Chairman of the Board.
Taken the floor in the opening speech, Hakkın Taner Seben, our ambassador to Singapore, stated that Singapore is a significant showcase for the region and the Turkish companies need to make more appearances in the market.
During his speech, Ali Kahyaoğlu addressed that they will keep on working for finding new markets as the exporters association and leading the exporters to these new markets within the scope of the IMIB studies.
Turkish companies attended the fair as part of URGE, carried out interviews with the local architecture and construction offices in a series of meetings organized by the IMIB. In these meetings, they represented the marble manufacturers and companies taking part in the URGE studies.
