Founded in 1989, GRANİTAŞ celebrates its 27th anniversary by maintaining its consistency in the natural stone industry again this year. While increasing its production capacity through constantly making investments; it also covers our country’s rising natural stone demand and creates value to the natural richness.
Operating seven granite quarries in 6 different regions, Granitaş quarries granites from:
1. Giresun Vizon in Giresun
2. Aksaray Yaylak and Crema Imperial in Aksaray
3. Balaban Green in Kırklareli
4. Bergama Gri in Bergama
5. Ankara Füme in Ankara
6. Hisar Gri in Sivrihisar
7. Nero Turca in Samsun and presents them to their customers’ presence.
Granitaş increased its capacity to one and a half million sqm per annnum, under the favour of their investments in the last two years. It manufactures both the granites quarried from their own mines and the granites entering the country by import to its 5 factories established in Turkey. Two of these factories located in Bilecik and Kırşehir are on an international scale and manufacture in compliance with the european standarts. The others are small-scaled and mostly specialized in point of the granites used in landscape and urban planning.
The foreign target markets for Granitaş are the neighboring countries such as Russia, Cental Asian Turkish Republics, Ukraine, Romania and Iraq. It aims to cater for the requirements of its marble associates through planting 20 warehouse facilities in our various provinces in order to be servicing closer to the functioning colleagues in the domestic market.
Still searching for new mines in the country, it also carries on with the innovation operations. Following the progressive developments all over the world through international fairs and research visits, the R&D team embodied in the company structure is actively working on geomorphology of the natural stones. Utilized often as in polished technique until today, the natural stones now put on the market through various techniques resulting in antique, flamed, bush-hammered, sandblasted and waterjet cut surfaces. These patterns can be used in any surface and further obtain nice textures by designing the surface through them.
