Organized in collaboration with the Vehbi Koç Foundation and Koç University Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations, the 4th International Sevgi Gönül Byzantine Studies Symposium will be held between June 23 – 25.
Theme of the symposium has been assigned as “Byzantine Identity and the Other in Geographical and Ethnic Imagination”. Professional academicians will represent 25 notices throughout 9 sessions organized for the symposium.
As part of the symposium, graduate and postgraduate students studying in fields peculiar to the Byzantine history will be offered scholarships for the first time this year in order to support their participations for the event and they will further have the opportunity to make poster presentations.
