On the 20th anniversary of its foundation, Yazgan Design Architecture is organizing an exhibition that will convey its theoretical and practical approaches to the discipline of architecture through selected projects, visuals, and models. “From the Influence of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture: From the Influence of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture” exhibition will be on view at Ankara CerModern between October 19 and November 2, and at Istanbul Tophane-i Amire Single Dome Hall between November 9 and 23.
Yazgan Tasarım celebrates its 20th anniversary in the practice of architecture with an exhibition that will first be held at Ankara CerModern and then at Istanbul Tophane-i Amire Tek Kubbe Hall. “From the Influence of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture: From the Influence of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture”, the exhibition will convey Yazgan Design Architecture’s theoretical and practical approaches to the discipline of architecture through selected projects, visuals and models.
In the past 20 years, Yazgan Design has become an international architectural office providing project services in 31 countries. A total of 100 projects of 9.000.000 m2 designed by Yazgan have been constructed and realized. Yazgan continues its knowledge-based, nature-integrated designs and architectural research with the “Flexible System Design” approach developed for project productions.
Believing that creativity is not designing the parts themselves, but the relationships that hold the parts together, Yazgan Design Architecture founders Begüm and Kerem Yazgan will bring together their understanding of “Flexible System Design”, which they have developed by combining the theoretical background they have gained through their long years of research in academia with professional practice, and the projects they have shaped with this approach in the exhibition “From the Influence of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture: 20 Years of Yazgan Design”.
Yazgan, who acts with a holistic and knowledge-based architectural production approach that combines theory and practice, tries to create a flexible system by defining the design actions, the actors and the parts that affect the design and how they relate to in his projects. In the exhibition, Yazgan will also discuss the “Smart Project” approach, which is an advanced and integrative approach to linking architecture with today’s information age and is based on the synthesis of all data to produce architecture.
Organized with the support of Alumen, Anıl Zemin, Ardıç Cam, Grohe-Lixil, Heper, Jotun, Kalebodur, Kasso, Nurus, Şişecam, and Vitra, “From the Influence of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture: From the Influence of Architecture to the Knowledge of Architecture: 20 Years of Yazgan Design” exhibition will be held at CerModern in Ankara between October 19 and November 2, and at Tophane-i Amire Single Dome Hall in Istanbul between November 9 and 23.
