Architect and curator Prof. Dr. Claudia Pasquero and architect and academic Dr. Marco Poletto, co-founders of ecoLogicStudio, a London-based architecture and design innovation studio specializing in biotechnology for the built environment, came to Turkey with the invitation of Geberit as part of the “Design Explorers Beyond Time #8” event. Within the scope of the event, the duo met with architects and architecture students at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Maçka Campus Mustafa Kemal Amphitheater, as well as designers and architects in Istanbul and Ankara.
Pasquero and Poletto, who built their professional and academic careers at the intersection of computational technologies and biology, met with designers and architects in Istanbul and Ankara as part of Geberit’s 2023 global theme “Experience the Comfort of Trust. We are here for you.” Pasquero and Poletto, who have built their professional and academic careers at the intersection of computing technologies and biology, also shared information on scalable, nature-based design solutions to the imminent effects of climate change. ecoLogicStudio’s co-founders also discussed topics such as state-of-the-art blue green master planning, biodesign applied to architecture, and the use of artificial intelligence as a tool for the design of future cities within the scope of their talk titled “Biodesign in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Deep Green”, which bears the same name as their newly released book.
