35th National Architecture Students Meeting, UMÖB 16,5 will take place
in Ankara between January 28 – February 4 in cooperation with the students
of Gazi University, METU, Ted University, Çankaya University, Hacettepe
University and İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University.
UMÖB 16,5, will organize critical workshops within the context of Ankara,
along with themes like “Urban Rights”, “Urban Memories”, “Urban
Image and Manipulations”, “Urban Crimes” and “Clark Kent”.
“This is a call for those who trust themselves, who tend to work in groups
with pleasant chit chats, who won’t tire out our participants by overworking
them, who can resist the chill of Ankara, who stand against hierarchy,
beside collectivism and who are full of love without necessarily being presentable!
Even though we name our event “National Architecture Students
Meeting”, we long for a transdisciplinary meeting as far as possible.
Our event is open for everyone who concern about our theme and who
feel excited for this gathering.
We like to include critical and experimental works that aim to leave a
trace in the city within the context of Ankara along with themes like ‘Urban
Rights’, ’Urban Memories’, ’Urban Image and Manipulations’, ’Urban
Crimes’ and ’Clark Kent’. Our door, our form and our zip code are always
open for those who got tired of being in the complaining side of things
and who are willing to take responsibility.”
