Organized by ITU Design Workshop for high school students planning to study in a faculty of architecture, the summer workshop will be held between June 18-24.
As part of the summer school, ITU Design Workshop (itüTA) aims to introduce the education and experiences in the ITU Faculty of Architecture with the students willing to study in the fields of architecture, urban planning, interior architecture and landscape architecture and it aspires to gather them with the academicians and professionals.
Within the scope of this workshop, students will have the opportunity to be closely acquainted with the departments of ITU Faculty of Architecture, seek for answers to the questions in their head, see different perspectives and obtain information through seminars and interviews. The workshop will launch with a tour having the theme “EXPLORING İSTANBUL THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHS AND SKETCHES: A different look to the city” where the students will examine the interactions of architecture, planning and other design related fields with the urban life through the history and contemporary patterns of the city they live in. The collaborative workshop embracing the fullest extent of professional disciplines in the Faculty of Architecture forms the major axis of itüTA. In the workshop, the students will perform various design studies led by experienced executives and they will take the opportunity to represent, exhibit and discuss their works following a one-week schedule.
