İstanbul Association of Architects in Private Practice displayed a number of photographs spanning over half a century of one of the major names in the modern architecture, Le Corbusier, through an exhibition inaugurated in İstanbul. Now, the same exhibition will meet with its visitors in İzmir in collaboration with İzmir Association of Architects in Private Practice and İzmir Union of Architects.
Supported by the Le Corbusier Foundation, the exhibition entitled “Cross Reflections / Architecture, Photography and Text” displayed a new selection in the Le Corbusier portfolio organized throughout five years by the architectural photographer Cemal Emden at the Işık Art Gallery in Teşvikiye.
The second stop for the exhibition will be İzmir Center of Architecture. Open for visitors until May 17, the exhibition represents texts written by the academicians from Turkey and overseas who have a body of research and studies on Le Corbusier. After İzmir, the exhibition will be visiting Ankara in the autumn along with the collaboration of Turkish Architects in Private Practice. In addition to the exhibition, a book has been prepared including photographs and texts. The distribution of this book will be made in October at Ankara along with the launch of the exhibition.
