Cited as one of the most powerful designers of the last 10 years by Wallpaper and deemed as “forward-thinking” by the Time Magazine, Jaime Hayon has taken his fantastic world which was previously exhibited at the Interior Design Show Toronto, to an architectural scale for Milan’s Fuorisalone 2017. To be exhibited in the historical grounds of Palazzo Serbelloni, these works gain inspiration from plants, animals and folklore influencing different cultures.
Tribal masks and Hayon’s signature clown faces are exhibited on the large-scale wall panels of the pavilion. There are also revolving platforms made of Caesarstone, furniture pieces and lighting fixtures made of Caesarstone that make the place more entertaining. The versatility of Caesarstone material is being reflected through designer’s vivid and visionary perspective. Dining tables, small coffee tables and cabinets appear as bird-like characters and animated faces. All these pieces contribute to the kaleidoscopic effect of the exhibition and enable visitors to interact with the material through a new and unexpected way.
