The famed Italian fashion house Furla, introduced
its 2016 Fall – Winter collection in the
Zojoji Temple in Tokyo. Architect Emmanuelle
Moureaux prepared an installation on the
same theme for the collection developed under the theme
“Explosion of Joy” to be displayed. A joyful and dynamic
setting was created by the architects’ signature color
application. The background is left white, allowing the
installation and displayed works to be emphasized.
The letters and pieces in color “dancing in the air” in the
architect’s words invite the viewer to move and discover
the exhibition. The works on display on disc-shaped tables
appearing to glide in a scatted manner in space are
all part of the circulation. The plays of light and shadow
created by Moureaux around showcases are an abstraction
of the “Ichigo-Ichie” in Zen-Buddhism. which means,
“Each encounter is a treasure as it cannot be exactly repeated”.
