Celebrating its 20th year this year, Evin Art Gallery continues its tradition by opening exhibitions not only in İstanbul but also in various provinces in order to introduce the painting and sculpture art in Turkey through maintaining the mission it undertook from day one. Opening at the Bursa Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center at September 22, the exhibition assembles the artists of Evin Art Gallery in Bursa at its 20th year with a group exhibition. As part of the event, the works of Nuri İyem, Nasip İyem, Neş’e Erdok, Rahmi Aksungur, Cansen Ercan, Temür Köran, Hakan Gürsoytrak, Zulal, Hakan Cingöz, Emin Turan, Setenay Alpsoy and Aylin Zaptçıoğlu will meet with the audience. Open for visitors between September 22 – October 22, the group exhibition will host the works of the great master of the Turkish painting, Nuri İyem; a unique artist in the field of ceramic art, Nasip İyem; one of the most powerful expressionists of the figurative painting, Neş’e Erdok and one of the significant figures in the field of sculpture, Rahmi Aksungur. The exhibition also embodies the works of Cansen Ercan, the winner of 2013 Sedat Simavi Painting Award who is renowned by her unique pallette and the strong interpretations in her landscapes and portaits; Temür Köran who is known for his compositions based upon the subconscious and Hakan Gürsoytrak who is famous for his authentic technique in artistic productions, his critical and realistic perspective and his approach towards the current political issues. Launched in 2012, Nazım Hikmet Cultural Center holds the only library of Turkey that is dedicated to poetry, the performance hall with a 400 person capacity, two art galleries and several studios. The art galleries of the Cultural Center have turned out to be an attraction for Bursa along with the exhibitions that hold modern and contemporary art works and projects that make the artists visible. On top of the retrospectives of the great figures indicated in the art gallery program, the projects that support the young artists, poet-writer exhibitions and exhibitions that scrutinize the issues of social memory and sensibility are also presented for the visitors.
