The third ARTINTERNATIONAL , one of the most talked about trade fairs in recent years, will take place at Haliç Convention Center from September
4th to September 6th. This year, too, the leading galleries and artists in the world will participate in the trade fair.
A new name will be part of the team of the trade fair directed by Dyala Nusseibeh, with Stephane Ackermann as art director, this year. Anlam
Arslanoğlu, who served in the significant art institutions of Paris and İstanbul including Les Arts Décoratifs, SALT and İKSV, will be the VIP Program
Director this year, of ARTINTERNATIONAL. Arslanoğlu, who last was the curatorial project director at İstanbul Modern, will run the relations with collectors,
museums and art merchants.
As a result of the evaluation carried out in a wide region covering Europe, America, the Middle East and Asia by the selection committee comprising
Leyla Tara Suyabatmaz (Rampa Galeri) and Yeşim Turanlı (Pi Artworks) from İstanbul, Ursula Krinzinger (Galerie Krinzinger) from Vienna and Leila Heller
(Leila Heller Gallery) of New York; 88 galleries will meet with art lovers in İstanbul. At the trade fair, where world’s established galleries Paul Kasmin
Gallery, Pearl Lam Galleries, Gallery Lelong, Deweer Gallery and Robert Miller Gallery will be present once again this year; Victoria Miro from London,
Sakshi Gallery from Mumbai, Aspan Gallery from Almati, Galerie Du Monde from Hong Kong, Aicon Gallery from New York and London will be first
time participants this year.
There are 12 galleries in the Turkish leg of ARTINTERNATIONAL. As a result of the selection made by the committee, taking into account international
exhibitions and accomplishments, in addition to galleries that were particapants last years like .artSümer, Dirimart, Galerist, Galeri Nev, Galeri Zilberman,
Pi Artworks, Pilot, Rampa, Sanatorium and x-ist, new galleries including Öktem&Aykut and, The Empire Project will be participating this year.
Last year, more than 20,000 viewers visited ARTINTERNATIONAL. The trade fair, where the sales volume was 26,500 Euro had brought together over
1,500 foreign collectors and art merchants in İstanbul. ARTINTERNATIONAL, which focuses in Turkey, the Middle East and beyond, seeking to create
the opportunity for collectors to access international contemporary art and to bond the universal art community, is held by the collaboration of Angus
Montgomery known for its partnerships in the world’s important art fairs, and Fiera Milano Interteks of Turkey.
