Focusing on the relation between the motion of the universe and the modern man, the exhibition of Ali Alışır entitled “Cosmos” can be visited at Bozlu Art Project Nişantaşı between September 6 – October 20.
Following his works “Virtual Bodies”, “Virtual Spaces”, “Virtual Wars” and “Virtual Views” where the concepts of reality and virtuality have been examined, the new exhibition of Ali Alışır represents a theme that focuses on human, universe and the relation between microcosmos and macrocosmos.
Alışır states that understanding the universe is only possible by understanding human and the opposite is identically possible. His works that emphasize on the similarity and entirety of these two concepts, underline the fact that the universe is one indivisible whole made up from the smallest elements to the biggest and the human carries everything related to the universe inside, as a piece of the whole. In his pictures expressing the universe and the void on a black background, the artist represents city views and human imagery through his photographs in a way that reflects the motion of the universe.
