The student project contest organized by İzocam each year with a different theme, is being held for its 19th edition this year. Organized in collaboration with İzocam and the Municipality of Milan, the 2019 International Multi Comfort Student Contest’s theme is the renovation of the Crescenzago metro station area in Milan, aiming at regenerating and rehabilitating the site so as to establish a connection with the city. In the first leg of the two-stage contest, students are expected to create a vision for the sustainable development and future of the Crescenzago metro station area in line with #milano2030 vision, and accordingly transform these ideas into a project. Participants are expected to create a sustainable architectural design that is well-integrated into the urban space, which responds to Multi Comfort Criteria and considers the climatic conditions and regional context of Milan, along with the social and economic aspects of the project. The deadline for submissions regarding the first stage of the contest is March 6. The successful projects among the submissions will become entitled to move on to the second stage. Subsequent to the jury gathering to be organized in İstanbul on May 1, the shortlisted projects, in an attempt to represent Turkey, will advance to the international finals event to be held in Milan. The international stage of the contest will be held between June 5-8.
