Applications for the national architectural idea competition opened by the Söke Municipality continue. In the contest, it is aimed to renew the available urban texture in an area of almost 100 hectares surrounding the available city center development corridor and the Söke Stream in-city passage, in a manner to support the development of Söke as a service center in the future.
The purpose of the contest expected allow the conductance of new planning studies, as compatible with the goal of the city to become a metropolitan sub-regional center by 2025, is explained to obtain new ideas that can demonstrate urban scale principles, methods and/or models which may offer new developments for the revision of the available zoning plan.
At the competition where the members of the main jury are composed of Prof. Dr. A. Emel Göksu, Bülend Tuna, Ali Kural, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Kılıç, there also is a monetary award.
Applications for the Söke Municipality Competition for Urban Renewal Based Idea Project to serve as basis for Zoning Planning , where there is a requirement for at least one architect and one urban planner to be available in the applying g teams, will end on June 16, while the acceptance of the applications sent by mail will end on June 18.
