Ariel Sanat (Ariel Art Gallery) has been relocated. It has moved from Teşvikiye to Tophane; from Narmanlı apartment building to Ra building, the basement floor of Riverrun. The opening exhibition “Danger”, presents the audience with three video works created by Ayşe Erkmen in different periods for the first time altogether: Chambal (1999), Deutsche Bahn (2002), and Level Two (2006). All three films tackle the element of danger through different time and space relations: urgent danger, potential danger, hidden danger. The exhibition is open for visitors until March 30. In the scope of Riverrun’s Bunker Exhibitions, Can Aytekin’s exhibition having the theme “Next Programme”, which was also launched on the same day, materializes the cinema of the past with an austere language through movie theaters, foyers, posters, lobby photographs, etc. Particularly focusing on Metin Erksan’s Time to Love, the exhibition subjects the obsessive love of the characters in the film to a visual variation through an obsessive manner. The exhibition can be visited until April 27.
