The smart telephone speaker “Ovo” (Egg), bringing masonry together with technological product design, was promoted recently by its designers; design studio May Day Design from Milan. Incorporating the digital and the analog, technology and traditional, the processed and the natural; while stressing marble in its form, has a design not disregarding functionality either. The effective sound quality of this speaker despite its small size, is the result of long work conducted in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano University. With its form allowing multi-purpose use, Ovo presents the user pleasurable acoustical discoveries.
