Heval Zeliha Yüksel Mimar / Architect For our readers to know you, i would like to start by asking how RSG was established and for how many years it has been carrying on its operations…Also could you please inform us about the projects you have developed in recent years? RSG İç Mimarlık, R.Semih Güven tarafından 2002 yılında kuruldu.Örnek daireler ve satış ofisleri, özel konutlar, ofisler ve turizm işletmeleri,çok amaçlı sosyal mekanlar, sağlık yapıları gibi alanlarda iç mimari tasarım ve uygulama projelerini profesyonel bir mimari kadro ile yürütüyor.2007 yılında Didem Güven’in ortaklığı ile mesleki pratiğine devam eden RSG İç Mimarlık, merkezi İzmir olmak üzere İstanbul ofisinde de hizmet veriyor. Could we talk a little bit about your current projects as well? Our projects based on sample apartments and sales offices, health centers, office structures and shopping centers are currently in progress in Istanbul, Izmir, Iskenderun, Denizli, Kayseri and Zonguldak. 
In this issure, we examined one of your final projects, the Altın Vadi Residence. Thank you for your hard work. Could you please tell us the story of your project? When you first tackled the project, what kind of a space have you envisioned? How did you manage to integrate these ideas into architectural plannings?
In a structural sense, Altın Vadi Residence stands for a highly prestigious and unique project in Iskenderun both for its height and the variety of apartments it offer. Owing to the fact that the project has the characteristics of an original content for the region and it addresses those who are willing to execute the unexecuted and who like to create a unique structure; it is important for us to involve and support them in our own space, reflect the prestige of the structure into interior design and implement these projects. 
We notice that there are natural materials involved in the project. Which natural stone did you use and where were they quarried from? How did you choose other materials? Would you please enlighten us?
We choose our materials within the scope of the conceptual and spatial design we created for each project. The impact we want to create, details we like to specify and implementation principles are among the other elements we value while making these decisions. As part of the interior design elements, we opted for natural stones for the design of floorings,decorative wall panels and movable furnitures. Among these; Baltic grey,Silver shadow and Thassos marbles are combined with wood.
There is a question that i usually ask for our magazine is mainly on tural stones. Our country is really rich considering the marble resources.Do you think that this precious material is being used enough and the local is being appreciated? Do you use natural stones? Which natural stones do you prefer the most?
Natural stone reserves of our country are in the leading position not only for their vastness but also for the variety of colors and textures they offer.We see that interior usage and export potential concerning natural stones increases every passing day. It’s fair to say that they increase the usage of marble and natural stones in architectural and industrial design projects for the impact they create and the visuality they provide. Rainforest is our primary choice for their green and brown alternatives. 
We ask every architect that we interview about the local/global designers and/or architects that he follows. If you have any, i would be delighted if you have shared with us…
We follow curent studies both locally and globally to offer unique and innovative works. We still show regards to the studies of Frank Gehry and Le Corbusier, shining out as architects and designers who left significant marks for all of us.
Finally, i would like to know how do you evaluate Istanbul and the rest of Turkey in an architectural perspective for your firm is based on Izmir.
The origins of mainstream construction and design teams in the financial capital of İstanbul and works lending themselves to material selections and designs with unrestricted possibilities make Istanbul different from other cities. Recently, there have been several innovative, extensive and beautiful projects that were being carried out in various cities of our country.
