Realized with the national participation of Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Association, Marmomacc Marble Fair presented Turkish marbles to foreign buyers. Organized between September 28, 2016 – October 1, 2016 in the city of Verona of Italy, the fair opened its doors for the visitors at its 51st edition. Within the scope of the fair, a total of 176 Turkish companies consisting of 50 national participation firms, 52 URGE (International Program for Increasing Competitiveness) firms and 74 individual firms opened their booths for the event.
COMMITMENT TO DEMOCRACY
One of the riveting aspect of the fair was the moving posters prepared by the Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Association. Prepared in Turkish, English and Italian, these posters illustrated the events occured during the
coup attempt and the commitment of Turkish people for democracy.
Stating that foreign fairs serve as highly significant mediums for promoting our country, the President of IMIB, Ali Kahyaoğlu indicated that all the exporter unions attending these fair need to use this opportunity to represent our country and our democracy.
THE CONSUL GENERAL AKSOY VISITED THE FAIR
Visited the fair booths with Ali Kahyaoğlu, the President of Istanbul Mineral Exporters’ Association; Hami Aksoy, the Consul General of Milan and Emre Orhan Özteli, the Commercial Attache of Consulate General of Milan wished success for the participants. In terms of participants, Verona Fair is also the second biggest natural stone fair of the world. Marble manufactureres coming from all over the world had the chance to exhibit their products in this fair. The hall embodying the design products which are made from natural stones also attracted the attention of the visitors.
