Developed by Arkitera Architecture Center, the Architecture Yearbook of Turkey aims to document and open up for discussion the built
environment each year through structures built over the course of the previous year. Among 178 projects evaluated in 2018 by a selection
committee comprising Melike Altınışık, Haydar Karabey, Nilüfer Kozikoğlu, Arzu Nuhoğlu and Mustafa Toner, a total of 68 projects
including 45 architectural, 11 interior design, 5 temporary structure, 6 urban design/landscape and 1 restoration/refunctioning projects
have been selected to be exhibited and featured in the yearbook.
Organized in collaboration with Arkitera Architecture Center and HOM Design Center, The Architecture Yearbook of Turkey exhibition
features approximately 70 projects produced in Turkey to be presented to design and architecture enthusiasts. For the first time this year,
the 6 selected projects are discussed in detail in a special panel within the scope of the exhibition at HOM Design Center. The panel
organized within the frame of the exhibition has scrutinized 6 projects determined by public votes and the members of the selection
committee. Deniz Aslan and Eren Öztürk from DS Architecture, Emre Erkal from Erkal Architects, Arif Bıltır and Emre Torbaoğlu from
Atölye Kolektif, Sinan Timoçin and Merve Taşlıoğlu from M-Ofis Architects, and Görkem Volkan, İbrahim Türkeri and Gönül Karademir
from Görkem Volkan Design Studio participated in the panel to present their projects. Examining Bostanlı Skate Park, Museum and Center
for Biodiversity, 270° Sivrihisar, Interior Design Project of Türkiye Finans Participation Bank Headquarters, Grill Polonez Vadistanbul,
Karamürsel Municipality Fish Island Social Complex, the panel took place on Monday, June 18.
