Akbank Sanat launches the new season with the exhibition “The Incident of Art / The Art of Incident”, curated by Prof. Hasan Bülent Kahraman. Comprised of works of 10 young artists; Elif Boyner, Fırat Engin, Burak Eren Güler, Erdal İnci, Seydi Murat Koç, Doruk Kumkumoğlu, Kıvanç Martaloz, Ardan Özmenoğlu, Eda Soylu and Nurtaç Ulutürk, The Incident of Art / The Art of Incident exhibition meets with the art enthusiasts at Akbank Sanat between September 30-December 3. Evaluating the exhibition, Hasan Bülent Kahraman states: “Consciousness before art is not the same with the consciousness after. Art has abstracted the consciousness. Although incidence belongs to the consciousness, it is actually beyond that. Art is an incidence. Despite the knowledge and data, the incident of art matters. Because consciousness forms art but lacks in appointing. Art goes beyond consciousness. It reposes on incident. In a universe where probabilities increase this much and an instance where life is engaged with incidence, the specifity of art appears through imposing itself as an incidence. Because the essence of art is the consciousness and beauty. Beauty can not be defined. Art is always an encounter. Because art is the moment you meet with beauty!”
