Bozlu Art Project Nişantaşı hosts an exhibition of patterns entitled “Aloşnâme”, from one of the leading artists of the modern Turkish sculpture, Ali Teoman Germaner (also known as Aloş). The series of patterns which Aloş started to create during the tense social atmosphere of the 70’s, both acts as a visual diary which gives clues about the personal journey of the artist who mostly stands out with his sculptures and presents a visual interpretation of Turkish history that is surrounded by metaphors. Also accompanying the exhibition, the book entitled “Aloşnâme: Philosopher’s Stone of a Sculptor” which is written by Ahu Antmen, gather this accumulation of unique patterns for the first time in such a rich extent and opens a window to the mystery of Aloşnâme through a detailed interview made with the artist and an analysis of Germaner’s masterpiece that spreads over time. Aiming to revive Aloşnâme through a book and exhibition project in a more extensive manner, scrutinize its relations with social life and further narrate its position and significance in Turkish art history, the exhibition can be visited at Bozlu Art Project Nişantaşı until November 30.
