Organized with the aim to prompt a discussion on the spatial narratives
pertaining to different disciplines, the Architecture Program will be held
with the theme “Visual Spatial Settlements” between August 11 –
August 25, 2019, at Nesin Art Village in Şirince, İzmir.
The objectives of the program for participants from different disciplines
are: creating a platform for questioning and thinking on spatial practices,
developing group/collaborative skills, creating a mutual education
ground and a platform for discussion, becoming acquainted with more
qualified living environments and raising the required awareness for
demanding it, prompting a discussion on “spatial narratives” pertaining
to different disciplines and creating spaces for questioning; establishing
a relationship between disciplines that, despite being proximate
production areas, don’t have the opportunity of co-producing at the
stage of acquiring a profession, strengthening the interaction and
communication among individuals involved in architectural education
in different cities and schools, carrying out new studies through rural
areas and their needs instead of urban space-oriented studies that are
emphasized in educational practices.
The program will feature workshops entitled “Place, Roof, Space”,
“Space – Screen” and “Audiovisuality and Editing in the Construction
of Space-Time”.
