THE WINNERS OF THE “ARCHITECTURAL SPACE NARRATION” TEXT CONTEST HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED
The winners of the “Architectural Space Narration Text Contest” have received their awards. Organized for the second time in a row this year by the Editorial Board of the KTMMOB Chamber of Architects, the competition was inspired by notion of “looking to written texts to obtain information about works of architecture that have either eroded or disappeared over time”, and aims to strengthen the relationship between architecture-related disciplines. First Prize went to Gökhan Kıyıcı for his paper“Network”. Second and Third Prize went to Nezire Özgece’s paper “Do I Still Feel A Sense of Belonging? Yes!” and Özlem Demirkan’s “Numbers”, respectively. Deemed worthy of honourable mention were Gönenç Kurpınar’s “Alphonse Rubelin and His Two Eyes,” and Sunay Paşaoğlu’s “Hostage?” Both contestants were also given their due awards. The KTMMOB Architects Chamber hosted the Award Ceremony. The best 27 papers are to be published in a small select anthology.
