Mat Collishaw, one of the pioneering signatures of contemporary art, presents a special selection of works curated by Alice Sharp, including a site-specific sculpture commissioned by Borusan Contemporary. Collishaw draws on important historical thinkers who have brought together the artistic discipline of close observation with new scientific ideas. He argues that we need not only theories but also our imagination and senses to truly communicate with nature. This is vital at a time when pandemics and climate change have led many to question a narrower and more authoritarian view of science. Aritmi, who proposes connecting with nature through the senses and imagination through different ways of seeing, will be on view at the “Haunted Mansion” until August 18, 2024.
