Born in Bulgaria in 1976, Radoslav Sultov is an award-winning
sculptor who completed his expertise at the University of Castilla-La Mancha in
Spain after graduating with a master’s degree from the Sculpture Department of
the Sofia Fine Arts Academy. Sultov, who gives life to his works with natural
stones such as marble, limestone and granite, has participated in various
national and international group exhibitions and symposiums around the world.
The themes of the artist, who creates his
works based on the relations between structure and space, generally include
exploring the aesthetics of transformation, a perceptible temporal succession
of change, and the interaction of mind and matter.
Specializing in creating contemporary works
of art for public spaces, private collections and outdoor environments, Sultov
has produced sculptures in more than 30 international sculpture symposiums in
public spaces in more than 20 countries. The artist, whose work can be seen in
open-air collections and public commissions in Canada, Taiwan, France, China,
Turkey, Italy, Denmark, Japan and many more, has achieved international
recognition. Inspired by the ambiance of the area where his sculptures are located
and the structure and history of natural stone, Sultov expresses his desire to
realize new projects with many different granite rocks from pink to red.
