Gallery ARK which is hosting Fulya Alışır’s first solo exhibition titled “Seeking” will take place until the 23rd of January 2024. Alışır’s art is based on the concept of organic. The artist re-examines and questions these paths from the formation of planets to the formation of human beings, how we are all part of a whole due to the presence of some basic elements in their structures, how human beings have separated, individualized and moved away from our organic structure in the process of evolution, and by examining the infrastructure of human psychology in the journey to re-establish our connection with the collective unconscious and reach our organic structure. The process of using cotton in her materials starts here. Due to the malleable, soft, and organic structure of cotton, she deals with the human being who is on a journey to reconnect with the organic forms of this organic material and the roots that accompany this form and all kinds of sources.
