The London Design Festival has announced the program for the 18th edition of its festival from September 12 to 20. Since its inception in 2003, London Design Festival has been bringing practitioners, retailers, and educators to celebrate and promote design annually across the city. What’s more, it has decided to continue to symbolically support London in maintaining its creative and cultural leadership in the face of the recent COVID-19 pandemic. In the words of the Festival’s director, Ben Evans CBE: “The show must go on. Showcasing is essential for the sector to survive and this year, more than ever, we are determined to offer every opportunity for designers to be seen and heard”. Physical installations will take place alongside virtual exhibitions, plus a digital forum is planned to bring the latest design thinking to a global audience. In addition to supporting the design community’s creative output through workshops, project presentations, courses, and awards, Festival organizers are also hoping to launch a platform that allows young talent to interact with design legends. The 18th London Design Festival will take place from September 12 – 20, 2020. You can access the program in full via the Festival’s website.
