Kelly Wearstler is one of the most striking and daring figures in the world of interior architecture and design in recent times. The eye-catching color palettes in her designs, the elegant combination of contemporary and nostalgic elements, and the courage to boldly break traditional design rules make her unique. As an internationally recognized designer, Kelly Wearstler’s approach aims to give spaces an unforgettable character by boldly combining materials, color, and form.
Designer Wearstler presented her NUDO furniture collection using marble during Miami Design Week. “Marble’s durability and the possibility of creating harmony in elegant and curved forms deeply influenced my passion for exploring it,” Kelly Wearstler explains her designs in this collection. All the designs have a form reminiscent of threads of different-colored stones tied together. Wearstler summarizes the idea of weaving with thread as NUDO’s homage to the weaving tradition found in many ancient cultures around the world. According to Wearstler, the weave form given to the designs in the collection also informs users about the cutting, texture, and structure of the stone. There are different types of marble, such as verde tical, pink marble, white marble, and calcite blue marble, which give NUDO pieces a colorful spectrum. In this issue of our magazine, we have compiled Kelly Wearstler’s very special NUDO collection, consisting of pieces that attract attention with their unique forms and the way the marble is processed.
