The 4-storey villa for the family of two and located in İzmir Sahilevleri was built by Yunusoğlu Construction Company on a total surface area of 600 sqm with architectural and interior architecture design and implementation by Dsgnart Architecture Company.
The basement and attic floors of this 4-storey villa have been designed to satisfy the owners’ expectations. There is a lounge bar and gym in the basement, while a library and a winter garden in the attic. The villa’s seafront position has been among the major elements considered during the interior architectural design process.
The project output that was obtained as a result of shaping by Dsgnart Architecture of the modest lifestyle of owners at the interior architectural design process have given rise to a strong and characterful design language, low-key and natural material integrity, and the most importantly, a calm structure.
Dominated by the modern architectural style, the project has the industrial aspects too. Thanks to the blending of warm and calm tones, the project has an unordinary structure as a whole. Efforts have been made also to achieve the harmony of natural materials.
One of the remarkable details of the villa’s interior design is the depth created by the stairwell and the gallery space in the area where the dining table is positioned. A lean contour has been created for the brick side wall and steel construction staircase that run through 4 stories. Besides, the combination of the twist cut parquet floor covering with the kitchen area has led to the perception of the house’s saloon, kitchen, fireplace, and dining table areas as a single volume. The passage between kitchen and saloon areas in the villa’s ground floor has been provided with a sliding glass system to create a spatial integrity instead of using a partition wall.
The U-shaped fireplace positioned between the villa’s saloon and dining hall areas has been a useful element as a separator between the areas and also in the achievement of wholeness between the areas. With the matte marble supplied by İdamar Stone Plus brand, the fireplace leaves an impression as a cult element of the building. Yet owners spend most of their time in the kitchen and winter garden, these areas have been the design’s focal point. The saloon, kitchen, and winter garden have been shaped in line with the owners’ expectations. The loft sliding glass door designed with grid metal is the most important detail of this focal point.
