IMIB Chairman of the Board Ali Kahyaoğlu continues
with the seminars held at universities in this term he
serves as president, like in his previous term.
The first one of the seminars held in the new term
took place Wednesday May 13, 2015 at Karadeniz Technical
University. About 150 architecture students attended a seminar
themed natural stone and interior space. Addressing the
natural stone wealth of our countr y in his speech, Kahyaoğlu
talked about the natural stones extracted in our country and
their uses.
Another seminar attended by Ali Kahyaoğlu was held at Muğla
University of which he is an alumni. Sixty environmental and mining
engineering students attended the seminar which took place
on May 27, 2015. IMIB Chairman of the Board, who in his speech
noted that mining was not environmentally hostile and that environmentalist
mining was possible, emphasized that there were
lessons to be taken from made errors, and the significance of the
advancement of environmentally friendly mining practices.
Pine seedlings distributed to student by IMIB following the seminar
were highly popular with the crowd.
