The 6000 sqm building with 12 floors in Istanbul Maltepe, on the E-5 highway, was selected as Betek A.Ş’s new headquarters. Different functions like the entrance floor, recreation floor, meeting floor and two executive floors found place in the building which is designed by KG Mimarlık, in addition to the working floors. 6 working floors with generally similar plan solutions were defined with different colors in order to be able to be distinguished from each other by taking into consideration the company departments they belong to. For the color sorting, the colors from Betek’s logo were used. Besides the first floor that is completely reserved for meetings in addition to working floors, areas for the kitchen, cafeteria, sitting, recreation and entertainment were sorted on the -1 floor. The entertainment house with functions that are expected to increase the employees’ energy and motivation throughout the day, like billards, playstation, air hockey and a library, set itself apart like a wooden box with a “space within space” understanding and enabled equipment changes in the future with its raised flooring.
The entrance floor with high prestige value for the firm, which will serve as the first welcoming place, is a place that again uses Filli Boya’s own logo “Elephant” and says ‘Welcome’ with a 3.5 meter high African elephant. The permeable sculpture lightened with the use of circular iron and metal is made by the artist Ozan Ünal. In addition to functions such as resting, waiting and the reception desk, right behind it is a 20 meter long acrylic amphi taking its place for collective events. Remotely controlled curtain is designed as an architectural divider element to contribute to multi functional amphi area. On the eighth floor of the building, which belongs to the owner of the company, a section with a fireplace, a bathroom and working areas is reached by a bridge over the water. The pool and its surroundings are covered with black basalt, and natural rocks are used in the pool. In the part used as a resting room, a white calacatta vogue covered fireplace increases the feeling of comfort.
