Acarkent MB House in Beykoz, designed by Studio EG Architecture aimed to build a peaceful hiding place in the nature that located on an area of 850 sqm. The house which gives simplicity, minimal colors and naturalness prominence, contains a garden area, entrance area, guest room and bedroom sections on a total of 4 floors. Living areas of MB House such as a pool, an orchard, a sun terrace, hobby rooms, a cinema room, a sauna, a spa a, hottub, a garden shower are designed as calm and ergonomic places where users can relieve their tiredness caused by intense work pressure of the day. The smart home system is also adapted to the house, the floor heating, the lighting, the air conditioning and the sound systems can be adjusted to the way of the user’s requests. There are also technical areas such as laundry, a cleaning room, a boiler room, a mechanical room, a smart system room, an automation room, an outbuilding, a garage room, an outdoor and garden supplies warehouse. By taking maximum daylight thanks to the double height area in front of the gallery between the living rooms that are located on the garden floor and the ground floor distributes the green reflection of the trees coming from the garden into the white tones of the interior place. In the interior, black, white, gray and wood colors are dominated, basalt andesite stone that is used in the entrance staircase creates a calm harmony with the white solid wood which is used in the living room and hall floors. The aged natural stone in the benches and units draws attention with the other natural stones used by polishing in the facades and handrails. In addition, the feeling of going underground wanted to be emphasized for the cellar, it can be entered by descending a sailor’s ladder under a glass cover in the living room. To give the impression of the underground, natural stone and wooden materials were used in the cellar.
