The grand awards and nominees of the 17th National Architecture Exhibition & Awards have been announced. Nominated for the “Sinan the Architect Grand Award,” the “Contribution to Architecture Branch Award”, and the “Commemoration Program” are Nişan Yauban, the pair Reha Günay and MehmEt Özdoğan, and Vedat Dalokay, respectively. Out of 96 applications, an additional 27 projects have also been nominated for prizes in the categories of “Structure” (13), “Project” (10), and “Idea Presentation” (14). Ajudicating this year’s contest -headed by Zeynep Ahunbay- are Zafer Akdemir (architect), Elvan Atlan (designer), Sinan Timoçin (scholar), and Alper Ünlü. Both the award ceremony and the grand opening of the exhbition will take place at the TBB Guest House LITAI in Ankara on September 18, 2020. The winners will be announced and be presented with their prizes at the award ceremony.
