Ankara Galeri Nev ended 2014 celebrating the ninetieth year of 1924 born artist Mübin Orhon. The works selected by the artist, daughter and heir Bénédicte Orhon for “Mübin at 90/Dip” exhibition, lasting until February 3, were presented to viewers in Ankara. The works, selected by Bénédicte Orhon who says that despite his early death, Mübin Orhon has reached the deepest and highest point of his life, focus on three critical dates in his father’s life; 1960, 1970 and 1980. An important name of the post-war Paris School period, Mübin Orhon started his art life studying design at Grande Chaumièr Academy in Paris he went to after graduating from Faculty of Political Sciences in 1947; creating endless works in France and Turkey, becoming one of the leaders of Turkish abstract art.
