Urla Vineyard Hotel is a new stop at the village of Yağcılar of Urla reached after passing through a pine forest.
The 6-room hotel is constructed using local materials of its region like Urla stone and pinewood. All wood fabrication was done at a workshop set up in the village and assembled by local craftsmen.
The architectural concept of the hotel, which never departs from plainness, brings together local means of construction like wooden structure and modern details, and technological solutions. The guestroom section of the hotel is built as ordinary masonry construction as the basement +2 floors, with the kitchen and restaurant section constructed out of wood as a bungalow. The inner yard defined by these two structures is abstracted from the village facing on the one side vineyards and the forest, and on the other side, to the space of Sığacık cove.
The architectural language of the structure is based on necessities and sufficiencies. It adds a stone from today without exaggeration to the store of knowledge of the past. This concept and its profound language makes the vineyard house a specimen with personality yearned for not only among hotel buildings, but also Turkish architecture.
