Vase with Stone, the project of designer Martín Azúa and ceramic artist Marc Vidal brings a new perspective to “handicraft” when joining art and nature masterfully. The duo, using natural stones with the vases they design, display a playful approach to traditional craftsmanship, with a interaction of forms ensuring a new dialogue between the manmade and the organic. Each one of the designs, which serve as a continuation of the natural “Natural Stain” project started by Spanish designer Martin Azúa, working on pieces of ceramic he dropped into a river in 1998, not only is unique but also blesses imperfection.
