International Marble and Stone Trade Fair (FOR ARCH) held in Prague last autumn, announced that it hosted 830 participants from 15 countries, and 74,850 visitors. The trade fair, which was one of the important events in the international platform, was special this year; as it celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014. The organization committee, which did its job successfully in FOR ARCH 2014, the largest trade fair of the Czech Republic in the building industry with its grounds over 40,000 square meters; appears to have fulfilled its promise of creating a meeting point at the heart of Europe for the construction industry.
One of the innovations of the trade fair this year was the Turkish Natural Stone conference. The event; organized in collaboration with commercial counsellor of Prag of Republic of Turkey and sponsored by Karia Marble, participated in by 65 industry representatives from 30 firms and importers; drew great attention. At the conference, where past to present architectural examples, in which Turkish natural stone is used globally were presented; it was noted that the increase in the popularity of Turkish natural stone in the global market, was highly important for the potential in Turkey which holds 40% of world’s natural stone reserves.
