Portuguese photographer Tito Mouraz published his book entitled “Open Space Office” in which he compiled the photographs he took in a marble quarry in Portugal. Mouraz’s breathtaking photos are the product of his visits which took three years. The artist, who stresses the statuesqueness of marble in his frames, underscores the contrast of the natural and the handmade in a turmoil of color.
On the project, Tito Mouraz has this to say: “Open Space Office adopts as its theme the quiet and stationery quality which underlies the rapid change of our day. Therefore, the photographs focus on the natural environment in the transformation process and a temporary realism. The spaces in the photographs have a unique and extremely striking visuality; forms leave a powerful plastic impression on the viewer”.
