“The symposium, the theme of which is set as ‘Interdisciplinary Approaches in Space Design’, firstly aims to reinforce relationship with numerous disciplines lead by architecture, engineering, fine arts, industrial product design, philosophy, sociology and psychology; considering the functional and artistic properties borne by the profession of interior design. It’s clear that the prerequisite for achieving efficiency in interior design, may only be possible through scheduled relationships to be set up with different disciplines.
The need for making use of interdisciplinary collaboration cannot be denied in every field allowing change by re-shaping life, and advancement of creativity. As D.N. Perkins stresses saying ‘The possibility of innovation increases at the point of intersection of disciplines’, 4th National Interior Design Symposium will create a platform which will bring new approaches to interior design.
Under the theme set in the symposium, papers selected by the science committee will be presented and discussed over three days. The event, which includes art performances beside panels and interviews, hence being in a privileged position in this respect, will come to an end on Friday May 8, 2015”.
