In the scope of collaboration with the Italian marble brand Budri and the designer Patricia Urquiola, the concepts of cohesion and fusion featuring different materials, have been used to change the material’s nature by transferring the color and transparency properties of glass into marble. Therefore semi-transparent displays embodying three-dimensional and irregular edges of pre-cut marble plates have been created. Once installed in modular wooden frames, these coffee tables have become ready to shape the interior spaces. The product gains an unusual relation with its surroundings through integrating with amorphous materials such as marble and glass or organic materials such as wood and resin.
This series of coffee tables is made of onyx and marble stripes in different colors through a fishbone pattern. Just like a puzzle, the zigzag edges can interlock with other tables in the same collection, therefore creating free and versatile compositions owing to its extraordinary and multicolored parquet effect.
