he South Korean designer Jeonghwa Seo designed
a lounge suite with an extraordinary
form. The collection is called “Structure for
Use” and many variations can be achieved in
this lounge suit by attaching different parts
with each other and aluminum or brass legs with wood or
basalt platforms.
Seo defines his design as following; “I aimed to make people
look at the design beyond basis such as material and
form,”. The designer wanted to emphasis the structural
aesthetics and says that he underlined the balance in furniture
with the articulation fiction besides bringing
out new functions based on different
forms.
Two different stone materials, five
different wooden materials and
pieces consisting of three metal
materials may be unified in 15
different forms in “Structure for
Use”.
