Natural stones are among the rare materials that combine aesthetics and naturalness in interiors. Stone, which brings originality to every design with its rich color options and unique patterns, is also preferred thanks to its durability and long-lasting structure. “Coffee Table” designed by Dooq, combines simplicity with color and texture; “Pillar Lamp” designed by Henry Wilson, adds a brand new perspective to lighting; “IONICO” designed by Les Eines with its sculptural structure from which it takes its name; “Matter” designed by Jonathan Zewada, which reveals the unexpected meeting of color and texture, In this issue, we have discussed the extraordinary designs inspired by nature with “Pallet” by Mar, which is the result of the redesign of the pallet, which is frequently used in design recently, with marble; “Millstone” designed by Yellowdot, a massive and yet aesthetic form of natural stone; “Embraced” by Nadia Yaron, reminiscent of clouds; and “Delphi” by Roberto Sironi, inspired by the ancient world.

Coffee Table
Dooq
“Coffee Table”, designed by Dooq, was created with an attractive proportion and color play, planning to have a perfect balance in its basic structure. The use of marble on the top, middle base and cylinder base and the hollow design structure break the figurative perception. This allows the design to be viewed from different angles and for each eye to imagine different things. The perfect combination of colored marble with other materials adds a soft mobility to the design.

Pillar Lamp
Henry Wilson
The Pillar Lamp by Henry Wilson is designed to provide a warm ambient glow, both through its shade and by illuminating the natural stone from the inside, revealing its translucency. Both pieces are created from whole stone. The surfaces and vascular texture have been left intact, creating a pleasant look and feel that reveals the form of the Pillar Lamp. The lighting is made of Calacatta marble, and the veined structure of the marble gives the design a natural uniqueness and distinguishes each design from the other.

IONICO
Les Eines
Designed using a combination of two different marbles, IONICO has an elegant, entertaining, and original style. This sculptural coffee table which was designed by Les Eines is open to customization by choosing the desired marble pair. With its colorful marble combinations and form, it is both an aesthetic and functional version of the stone. With its preferred marble colors, elegant structure and structure, it can adapt to any environment, while at the same time exhibiting an unusual appearance.

Affordances
Jonathan Zawada
Affordances is a limited edition coffee table design based on designer Jonathan Zawada’s original vision of combining basic forms with simplified structure. The design is made of a combination of marble and granite stones. The design, which is a combination of colored stones with different vein structures, adds vitality to the space with its very dynamic structure, while at the same time acting like a part of nature with the combination of the materials that make it up. The design, where naturalness and functionality are also at the forefront, is the embodiment of the fact that different stones such as pink rosalia, azul bahia, and green belize marble can come together to create original forms.

Pallet – MAR
IGNANT Studio
MAR-pallet is IGNANT studio’s first interior object design, a limited edition piece made entirely of colored marble. The striking and innovative interpretation is designed to incorporate the precise measurements of the well-known EUR-pallet. MAR-pallet reinvented the traditional form of the pallet, capitalizing on the beauty of its metamorphic stone. However, unlike the 500 million palettes currently circulating around the world, the MAR-pallet is set apart by its striking aesthetics and five different color groups superimposed on top of each other.

Millstone
Yellowdot
The Millstone collection by Yellowdot is a collection of sculptural side tables inspired by the Neolithic era when stone was part of everyday social life. The tables have a fixed base with a rotating top, while the light-reflecting polished surface and geometric shape, ranging from 8 to 12 sides, create an exciting contrast with the heavy, organic look of the marble texture. The table top is designed so that the unique patterns of each surface can be seen on the move. The colorful exotic stones are selected and locally sourced from Turkey, which has 40% of the world’s reserves of marble stone and a rich history of marble quarries dating back 4000 years, used by the Greek civilization, and Roman and Ottoman Empires.

Nadia Yaron
Nadia Yaron who is an artist and a sculptor says “I started carving clouds” for the Embraced collection. Living in Hudson, New York, with its huge skies and changeable weather conditions, Yaron found herself mesmerized by the transience and dynamism, the fragility and strength, the subtle dance of balance and instability that she was constantly witnessing. This is also how Yaron has created his designs. In this space, the contemplative forms Yaron brings together feel particularly peaceful. Delphi
Roberto Sironi
The Delphi chair refers to the ruins of Delphi in Greece, and in particular the circular-planned temple of Athena, the spiritual center of the ancient world and thus the Omphalos or navel of the world. The piece was made in Marmo di Rima by reproducing a white breccia with ochre and blue veins, conceived as a block of marble grafted onto a fluted column fragment, an important element of the Delphi archaeological site. Sironi’s choice of wide-veined white Breccia marble gives the design a very imposing cult form. This creates a supportive link between design and concept.
